i love marriage. i love married people.
its a beautiful imperfect combination.
i have been having so much fun being married with keenan. we have crazy lives together and we dont hang out with many people but thats okay for me. i LOVE being around him and with him. he always has random thoughts that lead into great conversation and get you thinking. hes a very smart man. i have been very blessed to have him as mine.
we have had a pretty good past few days...
saturday night we wanted to go out some place nice to celebrate his new position at fidelity. so he told me to get dressed up and we went to the radissons 360 restaurant. it was very cool! the room was spinning! not like a te-cup at disney world but very very slowly lol. the food was great! i have never had a filet that was so juicy and soft & the mashed potatoes were to die for (not as good as mine though) OH! and our french waitress looked like cameron diaz which was sweet.
i have a really good picture of us with the city in the background but i cant get it to work :(
after that we went to the boone county fair...BIG MISTAKE! so we drive through the bank to get cash for the fair im thinking $20 is more than enough.. NOPE! $16 just for us to get in. we definitely got jipped! it was okay though. we got to see beautiful giant horses and prize winning farm animals lol.
sunday we were supposed to have campaigners. minisrty at cooper is kinda slow right now. all of our seniors left so we have a lot smaller group...like 3 people lol so instead of campaigners we set up a hang out night to watch the bengals. it was kind of a bummer for steph and i because no girls showed up. just 3 guys came so all the boys were downstairs watching football and playing video games. im glad though that it was just me and steph. i love her alot and have always connected well with her. so we just hung out with baby cole and talked about life, marriage, kids, buying a house. it was fun. the dorseys are amazing people and i love them alot!
monday its back to work [blah!] i cant wait to go back to school! we had samantha and aaron over for dinner though which was great! its cool having friends hehe. i made chicken alfredo with salad and asparagus. mm mm mmm!!! i hope they enjoyed it as much as i did. i practically ate all of it haha i guess im a pretty good cook :)
they are finishing up pre-engagement counseling tonight with ben & maria. im VERY excited for them. they have come a long way and have grown so much in their relationship. i cant wait to see what the Lord does with them!
nothing too big and thrilling coming up in the next week. spending more time with Jesus is what i would like so much! i have a yearning to be with him more and more and i just cant seem to find the time. thats so stupid but it is difficult. i hope you are able to pause this week and take an hour or so to be with the God of the universe who loves us more than we will ever know.
