well i wanted to put up a cutesy valentines day post like every other blogger did on valentines day but i didnt. so call this my delayed valentines day post thats not even really about valentines day.
keenan and i didnt really celebrate valentines day. well yes we did but not on the day. i think its kinda cheesy. you should have seen krogers that day around 4:00...PACKED with men, all of which had the same things.. roses, a card, and chocolate. now i know that flowers and chocolate are a womans best friend (besides shoes) but come on men...you gotta step it up next year. roses are cheesy and boring and typical. get her a million flowers. fill up a room for her when she gets home! buy her an orange tree to plant for crying out loud. anything but roses...PLEASE! {and no keenan did not get me roses lol} which he wouldnt anyways because i dont like them. there are much much more prettier flowers out there besides roses. anyways it was a sight to see.
saturday night we went out to spend our gift card to the cheesecake factory. when we got there it was a 2 hour wait! i couldnt believe it. then went next door to maggianos and they were also 2 hours so we get to the car and mope for a little bit. "we got all fancied up for nothin" bummer. but keenan being the genius that he is said "its a 2 hour wait. the mall is open for 2 more hours...lets just walk around the mall and then we can also get chocolate strawberries from godiva". I KNEW I MARRIED HIM FOR A REASON! what a selfless thing to do as a husband...walk around the mall for 2 whole hours. i love him. we had a good laugh at Godiva. there was a table with boxes of choc. covered strawberries. in each box there were 6 large berries. and of course no price tag...and ladies what does that mean when there is not price?? you guessed it- TOO EXPENSIVE! yeah they wanted $42 for 6 strawberries w choc.....UM i dont care if the chocolate was made by willy wonka himself and the berries were imported from mars...thats a stupid price. so we got an auntie anns pretzel instead...soo much better.
after walking around for a while and looking into all the expensive stores where we couldnt buy anything...i found it... {anthropologie} . this is a good story, so im looking- im "oohing" and im "awwing" and then i turn and my eyes are open wide. aprons!!!! i have been dying to get an apron from them and you know what my sweet sweet hubby said? "jen go ahead and pick one out" my heart was filled with so much joy! im not kidding. here she is...

OUR NEW HOUSE
yayy!!! we got a house! so obviously we arent moving to louisville. i think the Lord was just preparing us for what really is to come in the future and it was a great experience that He put us through. so since we werent moving we went ahead and got the house we wanted here. its in union in Orleans neighborhood. we are so thrilled we really really are! closing march 26 and moving in a few days after that. i would put a picture of it on here but im not sure if im legally allowed to do that so sorry friends youll just have to wait until march.
so thats the best news besides Jesus is moving in me. literally. His Spirit is working on my soul. softening it. trying to mold it and its been an emotional experience as some might already know. i have cried alot. but its not that im sad or lost its really just the Spirit working on my heart and showing me His unbelievable love for me as His daughter and His heir. i am an heir to a King. a GREAT King! and i cannot wait to see Him.
