diy bachelorette bunting

ok this is my first ever step-by-step tutorial for a diy project so bare with me. {ps there will be a lot of pictures for this tutorial. mainly because i am a visual learner so i hope it helps you too} also, i did this bunting for a bachelorette party but you can replace my supplies with any other color or fabric that will suit your festivity.

lets get started...

first you will need ribbon {i did 5 yards of ribbon}, fabric, & trim. for this bunting i chose the following...

i did not include a photo of this but you will need to cut out your triangles from your fabric. i didn't measure the triangles..just eyeballed it.

next you will need to fold your ribbon {as you go}

place is under your foot {of your sewing machine that is lol} and place the needle down into the folded ribbon. i didn't measure it but you'll want the threading to be around where mine is.

sew a few lines into the ribbon to get it seamed together. then place your flag all the way into the fold of the ribbon.

go ahead and sew the seam w/ the flag all the way through {make sure you are holding onto the ribbon like you see in the picture} i don't really like using pins thats why i just hold onto it instead.

and there you have it

next is the trim. with this you'll want to place the needle in the current seam of the trim & sew along that. also, place the trim right above the bottom of the ribbon that you can see both.

and voila!

here would be the finished project

HAPPY BUNTING!
