the only reason i am posting is because keenan and tieke are playing video games. so its been a month since my last post? so its been a month since they played haha. it might not be so funny to you viewers at home but i chuckle a bit. so JEN VARNER if you want me to post more...tell keenan to play more video games!

forgive me for what i am about to say but i am thankful that thanksgiving is over. because CHRISTMAS is coming very very soon! bring on the lights, the snowflakes, the music, the movies, the cute winter clothes (even though ill most likely be wearing tshirts & hoodies), and hot chocolate!

we put up our first christmas tree together tonight with the help of friends. lights are hanging on the ceiling too. its SO festive and pretty! now all we need is ornaments for the tree. poor thing only has lights on it. hopefully hobby lobby will come to the rescue. im also looking for the perfect tree skirt..i will not settle and i will not rest until i find the perfect one! ill post some pictures of it all when im finished. ps- home goods is the place to go for cheap xmas deco. i liked what family christan bookstore had to because id like to remember that Jesus is what christmas is really about. there are several beautiful christmas songs about Jesus recently. that sentence might have had you confused...i know that A LOT of xmas music is about Jesus but im saying there are newer songs by newer artists out there and are just as good even though they are oldies or classics.

i have noticed that the first year of marriage is ridiculousy expensive. we seriously spent about a hundo on xmas stuff. only because we dont have any! from now on i think that whenever we go to a wedding ill give the couple a few decorations for all seasons.

keenan just turned 24. he so old. im totally kidding! i love him and the amazing man that he is and still becoming! ps- did i mention that i lost his ipod touch that i got for him last xmas? yeah it was a tense night in the kruskamp home when that happened (a month ago) but my mother and the Lord come to the rescue my parents got my sister a macbook for her bday and got a free ipod w it and she gave it to me to give to keenan for his bday! he cried when he opened it (dont tell him i told you that even though hell prob. read this anyways) he didnt cry bc he got a ipod, he cried bc i love him SOOOOOO stinkin much. 

im going to start subbing at boone county schools soon and i am so excited! our friends the meimans are expecting a bundle of joy and are moving into their first house togehter! keenan and i are so pumped to go down to NC and help our friends move in. and i am not sure why but several people have asked me about us having kids and no. i like my sleep...a lot! is that selfish? we are not at all prepared for a little kruskamp running around screaming its head off. then again is anyone ever prepared for having a baby? idk but either way we do not plan on having any tykes for a few years. i hope i didnt just make myself sound like i dont want kids because i picture my family being like the one in "cheaper by the dozen" i want finger paints and crafts EVERYWHERE! and yes i have thought that through and its still what i want our family to be like.

woooh...id say this was a mouthful of an update. sorry to keep you out of the loop for so long. i believe that there is plenty of grace for me bc this is the first time i have waited to long to blog lol.
