theres no place like home

i was trying to think of cute/clever way of saying this but basically... WE GOT A HOUSE!! more like we bought a house which isnt as fun as it wouldve have been just "getting" one without speding a dime. but i guess it shows that we worked pretty hard and were patient enough and the Lord most definitley blessed us with this.

the closing was last friday. we finally met the owners. a young couple like us. it was kind of awkward. our relators introduced us. "oohhh hhaaay im buying your house and i have seen all your stuff thats in it" is what i was thinking lol. it went by really fast too. and we got a hand cramp from signing our Hancock's so much. everytime the lawyer said to "sign here, here, here and your initials there" i would look at keenan and he would nod in affirmation that i wasnt signing to give away my first born child or anything like that. its a good thing he is really smart and read alot of that paper work (which most people dont do) because i didnt have ANY clue to what i was signing. so we packed and painted the apartment that weekend. here is what the living room looked like before move day

ok so its probably not as crazy as you would think. but it still was a lot of stuff. there is most likely stuff behind me and in the bedroom. move in day was monday and it went very smoothly thanks to several strong men that showed up to help. it was a great day as far as weather goes. all sun and no clouds. so nice! a huge big thank you to my mom and dad!! mom helped me put everything away in the kitchen, our bedroom, and helped clean the bathrooms! gosh shes a trooper.

only ONE thing went a little crazy on the move in day. i was SOOO excited to finally have a washer and dryer that i started laundry as soon as we moved in! WELL...(cue short background story) the previous owners had a leak from the master bathroom down through the ceiling in the living room. well they attempted to fix it them selves and here is what was left...

a crummy piece of patch work. so everything was going great. running 2 loads of laundry put a huge smile on my face. my dad came over later that day to check out the house. if you know my father than you know he is awesome at handy-man-home-fixin-stuff. not kidding you...the FIRST thing he sees is the giant patch on the ceiling...with 3 fresh water spots on them. WHAT!? you could imagine my pissed-offness, yes i said that. and i was upset at the fact that i might have to vsit the laundromat again. luckily hand-dandy-dave (aka- my dad) came to the rescue. after hiring a plumber (which was a complete waste of $60) the boys came to the fact that it was the drain pan. it had been full of water and was leaking through the floor into the ceiling. so dad and keenan worked on it and they got the job done! i have ran the washer everyday since then (i cant help myself) and everything has been A-OK. i told keenan "either you guys really did fix it or we have seen something done by the great physician Jesus himself" he giggled. here are a couple pictures of the house. more to come once its picked up.

the middle picture is our view from the upstairs. i love it. and the fact that our room has the bathroom IN it! yay!

lots more happening though. my best friend SAMANTHA MALLERY is getting hitched to some great fellow named Aaron. i am thrilled to say that i will be hosting her bridal shower at mi new casa. i just sent all the invites in the mail today. i am so excited to have a house to host something in lol. its actually really fun hosting and helping put on a bridal shower. and i feel like it has to be amazingly cute and fun because its for sam and i know she would do the same for me...oh wait. she did lol. i do have a lot to live up to. if you were at my bachelorette party you would know what i mean. she did it all by herself and it was SO cute!! heres a picture of what she had done for me...

and can i just add that she made all of that food on the table...including those UH-MAZING chocolate covered strawberries...again i don't know how im gonna top this but im gonna give it my all for this girl because the Lord has put us through thick and thin together and i love her.

mine and keenans big one year anniversary is coming up on the 10th. it is so crazy that a whole year has gone by so quickly. time flies when your having fun. what do you get a husband for an anniversary? please comment because i have no clue. is that bad?

so anyways. sorry its been hmm a month and a half since i have posted here. sorry friends. ill try to do better. thank you for being so patient and wanting to read all this stuff. it seems kind of selfish don't you think?..having a website where you talk all about you and your life and expect people to read and be entertained by it. how about this for a change..a good change...next time i will talk about the Christ and how amazing and loving and forgiving and gracious He is. if i type a single thing about myself, it will relate to what he has done and is doing for me as a daughter, as a wife, as a friend, and as a believer of a living God. Amen.

Good night.
