alive and well

It has been almost an entire year since I have played with this this called 'blog'. Yes, I am still here. Yes, a lot has happened since you read this. Thank you for welcoming me back :)

The reason I completely fell off the face of the earth in blog world is because honestly, I was killing myself trying to compete with other beautifully typed out life adventures by other women that blog (whom I really do admire for their creativity). Also, was beating myself up for not having an awesome camera, killer blog design, and kids , yes kids lol. So ANYHOO here I am now. I have returned.

With my fresh new outlook on blogging I have also created a fresh (and more "me") name. Not that "Love Covered" wasn't good, it was just something I had randomly chosen within 10 minutes of searching...it wasn't really who I am...and it was cheesy. It's OK you can agree it was cheesy. Doily Doodles I think pretty much sums up mine and my husbands appreciation and love for antiques (hence 'doily') and we have added a member to our family. No humans...but a pup (hence 'doodles') He might just be my favorite thing in the world. We adopted him back in October (my birthday to be exact) and Dozer has been destroying our lives ever since. Just kidding! But really, he eats our socks...literally. Remember the movie "Marley and Me"? Thats Dozer. He is a Golden Doodle and he is BY FAR the most adorable dog I have ever seen. You may say that my opinion is biased but seriously he really is the cutest ever!

So thats us right now :). My new commitment to this blog isn't a commitment at all. Whatever happens- happens.  I do want to keep everything updated as much as possible for our friends and family to read (Hi Grandpa Jim!) but I'm not going to allow myself to be identified through this site. Also, let me give you a heads up- the posts I put on here are just a tiny spec of my life. In further detail of that, I mean any "fun" "romantic" "beautiful" posts on here that make my life look perfect- is false. I am human. I throw horrible temper tantrums (just ask Keenan), and tend to let my emotions rule my actions (which is not good). Thank God that He has more than enough grace for me and that is why I try my darn hardest (with His guidance) to live my life all for His glory.
